GHETTO GIRLY $ERIE$

GHETTO GIRLY $ERIE$

Before I begin, I would just like to say a big thank you to everyone that has liked, commented, looked at and just generally supported my blog & Instagram blog over this past month and above. With over 340 page views on my first blog post, it’s nice to know that there are people out there that wish the best and support my dream. Thank you! You guys keep me motivated.

Well well well …

It’s almost been one whole month since my last blog post. I’ve just been caught up in the mix of college, work & other things that blogging took a backseat unfortunately. BUT not anymore! & I promise all of my readers, from now on there WILL and I repeat WILL be a new blog post at least every 1-3 weeks max. I need to get things going, I feel so motivated!

My style is usually quite girly but recently I have been switching up my style to a more urban feel. I am totally obsessed with the 90s fashion era and I am forever wishing I was a teenager in the 90s, Imagine how cool that would be *cries*. The fashion, the music. You name it & I’m obsessed with it. So I decided to combine my two favorite styles: Girly & 90s into one and that’s when my new fashion style “Ghetto Girly” was born!

I call this look “Ghetto Girly” because it can either be a ghetto/urban look or a girly one. For a straight girly look, it would be the same exact outfit but instead with boots/loafers and studs. Whereas I dressed it with Adidas originals and bamboo hoops to give it more of an urban feel. I wanted to have a combination of a polo neck teamed up with an a-line denim skirt as I felt it really captured the British weather lol. You never know if it’s gonna be hot or cold, so I put both together. The skirt if it’s a bit warmer & the polo neck for when it gets a bit colder, which worked in my favour.

I love this skirt, it is an ultimate spring/summer favourite of mine. This skirt made me think of the 90s straight away so I knew I had to get it. I was prepared to buy it from American Apparel or Topshop for over £40 but then I saw it in Primark for £10! I grabbed it and went straighttttt to the cash desk. Imagine if I paid over £40 for it, when there was one out there for 10. Phew, love a bargain.

WHAT AM I WEARING?

  • GOLD BAMBOO HOOPS – ANY LOCAL HAIR SHOP OR EBAY
  • WHITE TURTLE NECK – PRIMARK
  • DARK BLUE DENIM SKIRT – PRIMARK
  • TRAINERS – ADIDAS ORIGINALS

Thank you for reading! Feel free to share & comment. See you guys again next week with another blog post!
